I am main carer for my 87yr old mother. She lives in her own house, but can not be alone. I therefore stay with her overnight several nights a week, with a little help from her long term partner who lives in his own house. My mum will NOT go to daycare and at the moment she is still OK 10% if the time. However, she gets extremely confused and can get quite agitated with me and accuses me of all sorts! I love her to bits but it is really getting me down now and has changed my entire life. My partner of 9yrs has now left me because he can not cope with the situation. I also lost my 47yr old daughter in June and she was a good listener for me. My 24yr old daughter has now started to help me but she has 3 young children under 4yrs so is extremely busy. My only brother lives in Australia. I would love to hear from anyone who may be in a similar position who would just like to chat occasionally? Anyone out there?
