Took CCI's advice
I took CCI's advice (Carers Connect International) ..... and managed to organise a pampering session at home with my PIGLET in tow!! (person I give love and endless therapy to) ........
The saying where there is a will there is a way certainly was appropriate here, as I was unable to go to a salon for my pampering but I brought the salon to me. When my PIGLET was asleep I organised for a friend to pop over for coffee and we did each others naiis and a facial each and it was wonderful. We managed to have a laugh too. and when my PIGLET woke up it was such a lovely day we had a BBQ outside in the sunshine.
I have to say it was one of the best days I have ever had in a long time and it cost absolutely nothing, which was even better. As a full-time Carer on benefits and the credit crunch money is really tight so it was wonderful to have such a great day and not be all the poorer for it.
I also worry about my PIGLET a lot and this way I was right at home if I was needed and it worked out great. So if you want some pampering and money is in short supply or your PIGLET is too unwell to leave, do what I did and remember, WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY ....... AND PUTTING THE EFFORT IN TO PLAN A DAY LIKE MINE WILL BE WELL WORTH IT.
Bye for now and happy pampering from a CCi Carer Buddy xx
